Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Overnight: Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu via Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy a short walk around Thamel or relax. In the evening, meet your guide for a brief orientation followed by a welcome dinner.

Day 02

Bhaktapur Sightseeing

10am- 5pm

Overnight: Kathmandu

After breakfast, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, known for its well-preserved temples, courtyards, and traditional Newari architecture. Explore highlights like Nyatapola Temple, the 55-Window Palace, and local pottery squares. Drive back to the hotel

Day 03

Drive to Pokhara (820m)

8am- 6pm

Max. Altitude: 820m

Travel Distance: 200 km

Travel Time: 5-6 hrs

Overnight: Pokhara


After breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, following the scenic Trishuli River. The journey offers views of terraced hills, rivers, and rural villages. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxing walk along Phewa Lake.

How difficult is the Upper Mustang Trek?

It is moderate in difficulty. The trails are not very steep, but long walking days and altitude require good fitness.

What is the best time for the Upper Mustang Trek?

Best seasons are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November). It is also suitable during monsoon as Mustang lies in a rain shadow.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking & Confirmation

All bookings must be confirmed in writing (email or signed invoice).

  • All bookings must be confirmed in writing via email. Confirmations are subject to availability at the time of payment.

    Payment Structure

    Individual / Small Group (up to 6 pax):

    • 30% deposit to confirm booking

    • 40% due 15 days before trip start

    • Remaining balance settled 2–3 days before departure or at pre-tour meetup

    Group (7+ pax):

    • 30% deposit to confirm booking

    • 40% due 30 days before trip start

    • Remaining balance settled 2–3 days before departure or at pre-tour meetup

    Last-minute bookings (within 15 days of departure): 100% payment required upon confirmation.

    Payment Methods

    Payments accepted via bank transfer, credit card, or authorized payment gateway in USD or NPR equivalent. International transaction fees are borne by the customer. Payment is confirmed only after funds are credited to our account.

    Amendments

    Changes to confirmed bookings (dates, names, itinerary) must be made in writing. Additional charges from hotels, airlines, or local partners may apply. Changes within 7 days of departure follow the cancellation policy.

    Child & Senior Policy

    • Under 5 years: Complimentary (sharing bed with parents) for hotels. Flight fares per airline policy.

    • Ages 5–10: 50% of adult rate (sharing bed). Flight fares per airline policy.

    • Above 10 years: Charged as adults.

    • Travelers 65+: Requested to share medical/fitness information for high-altitude or adventure activities.

    Travel Insurance

    Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers, covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, delays, and evacuation. Proof may be requested before departure.

Cancellation by Discover Annapurna

If we cancel a confirmed booking due to force majeure (natural disasters, political instability, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions), you will receive a full refund of the amount paid, excluding non-refundable costs such as permits, flights, or hotel deposits. Alternatively, you may reschedule or transfer to a future date at no extra charge (subject to supplier terms).

Refunds

  • Processed within 7–15 working days after cancellation acknowledgment

  • Issued via original payment method and currency

  • Bank/service fees related to the refund are borne by the traveler

  • Flights, permits, and entrance tickets are non-refundable once issued

  • No partial refunds for unused services or early departures

We are not liable for delays, losses, accidents, or damages caused by third-party providers, weather, or events beyond our control. Any damage caused by the traveler to property must be compensated directly.

Disputes

Disputes will first be resolved amicably. Failing resolution, disputes are governed by the laws of Nepal and settled under Nepal's jurisdiction.
